We’re here to help create a group of future bannermakers. Good bannermakers are wanted at most icontest communities. If you've ever wanted too make banners for an icontest community, but were turned away due to lack of experience, this is the place to come. Here you can compete with other people in order to see what you can do to make your banners better.
Here you will be able to get your banner critiqued by different people and learn from mistakes. You will be able to practice and gain experience by working weekly banners. You also can see what ideas other bannermakers have come up with in presenting banners.
If you are a bannermaker already, perhaps you’re looking for a place to practice your talents and get feedback. This would be the place to come as you can give ideas to future bannermakers as well as trying out new ideas or just getting feedback from your old ones.
Above all else you must try your hardest to be a dedicated member and banner maker. It's basically run very similiar to an icontest. 1. Be kind to both icon- and banner-makers. 2. A particular program does not make your banner quality or not. 3. You must be a member to participate. 4. If the icon is poor quality, just try your best. 5. If you cannot do animated icons, don't worry. Just do the 200x100 portion or a still of the icon. 6. Recycling banners is cheating. 7. The banner must fit the request as much as possible. (if they want it in .png, then put it in .png) 8. The original images may not be given. Use all tools at hand in order to make banners. (ex: google image search) 9. In the event you make a mistake, you will be notified. If you submit a banner with an error and do not fix it, your banner will be disqualified. 11. Plagiarism is not allowed. Do not do it - it will result in a temporary or permanent ban. 12. Banners must have these items: iconmaker name, placing, week number, community they won in. Optional: theme 13. You must know that the original icon-maker may take the banner that they enjoy the most and use them without any credit.
